摘要: Artin and Schreierpointed outthat,on complex fieldC,there is no linear orderswhicharesimilar as the one on real fieldRin 1926. Birkhoff and Pierce posed anopen questionin 1956:CanR and Cbe lattice-ordered?The first half question has been solved by R. R. Wilson in 1976. However, the other half one has not yet been solved today. In this talk, we will review some essentialdevelopmentson this open question.
