讲座内容简介：In this work, I will present some systems with delayed switching control. We show that the delay can induce periodic solutions and in particular, slowly oscillating periodic solutions. Methods used include the Poincare maps, displacement functions, a Melnikov-like method, and fractional linear mapping method.

讲座人简介：王林教授，2003年在加拿大纽芬兰大学数学系获博士学位；2003-2007年先后在加拿大McMaster大学、British Columbia大学、Victoria大学从事博士后研究工作，自2007年至今在加拿大New Brunswick大学工作，现任New Brunswick大学教授。主要研究领域包括微分方程、动力系统以及在生物学、生态学、流行病学、神经科学等领域的应用。王林教授在JMPA,SIAM J. Appl. Math.、JDE、JMB、JTB、Mathematical Biosciences等国际应用数学以及微分方程、生物数学领域top期刊上发表学术论文100余篇。主持多项加拿大国家自然科学科研项目。
